The happiest day of the year
Yay! Baseball! Winter is over and the Cubbies are on TV today and my fantasy baseball team isn’t in last (because we have just started) and things are looking up. I LOVE opening day. Makes me seriously happy.
You know what doesn’t make me happy? The fact that I have foster children on medicaid and there are no dentists who will see new medicaid patients. I’ve called all the dentists in the book. Stupid.
You know what else doesn’t make me happy? Banana puke. Eww.
But who cares, because it is OPENING DAY! WOOO! BASEBALL! GO CUBS!!

Medicaid sucks for dental. Our state is the same way. It covers but no one will take it. When our daughter came home at age 11, we were the first people who took her to the dentist. Because of her rotten teeth, we have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on dental care. Poor kid doesn’t deserve that. Isn’t it ironic that the kids that the state are supposed to be protecting get the crappiest care?

We have been absolutely blessed with our dentist. Because we were already patients, anyone we “add” to our family is given exams, even when it’s straight MA paying. In fact, I take all five kids to the dentist in a week. Can you talk to your personal dentist at all? Just tell them he/she is your child.

Sorry to hear about the dentists. Here dentists are supposed to cover all children under 12 or somesuch with medicare, which covers all the public citizens, and they are on strike right now for taking it, to apply pressure for new contract conditions. Thank god we don’t need immediate dental care. Best of luck with your situation. And though I really cannot stand baseball, congrats on Opening Day! Go Cubbies Go! ;D

Dentists in my experience are a bunch of greedy buggers who rarely have the best interest of their patients at heart.
