Financial ruin not enough?

Dear Sinus Infection who has decided to live in the right side of my face forever,

Please go away. I beg you. I keep pumping you full of medicine and antibiotics but you seem to stubbornly stick around, hoping I’ll change my mind. I won’t. I do not like your green snot, or the fact that you make it impossible to breathe out of one side of my nostril, or the fact that you are causing the most horrible tooth pain ever.

Nice knowing you,

Baggage

Dear the teeth in the back right of my head,

Yes, I know the last time I had pain like this, I didn’t have a sinus infection. I had a horribly infected tooth which had to be ripped out of my head and cost us a tremendous amount of money. But I’m holding onto the hope that the green snot is a good sign. Hopefully it is, well, as much as green snot can be considered good.

Sorry about all the grinding,

Baggage

Dear my hoo-ha:

Are you feeling left out of the ailment brigade or something? Because I’m not quite sure why you are randomly bleeding. Please stop ruining my cute Victoria’s Secret panties at once.

(Sorry about the antibiotics)

Baggage

Dear my right eye,

FOUR STYS? FOUR???? ON ONE EYE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I hate you,

Baggage

Dear Veteran’s Administration,

I think it is a big load of crap that you do not pay for ADD medications. I can’t work without my medicine, but I can’t get my medicine because it costs too much, but I can’t get enough money to afford it because I can’t work. Nice.

I’m so glad that being 50% disabled means nothing to you, VA. You suck.

Baggage

Dear Patrick,

If you actually read my blog, I’m sure that after you have read about my many physical problems, the least of which is green snot, I will lose any shot I had with you.

I understand. It is me, not you. Enjoy the wife and the kids and the hit TV show on ABC. I’ll settle for the 47 minutes of joy you give me on Thursday nights. Hopefully I can still see you through my sty-infested swollen eye.

Hugs and Kisses,

Baggage

Is the tooth on the top of your mouth? I’m sorry to say this but I’m wondering if the tooth is related to the sinus infection… My mother had a terrible sinus infection and tooth pain on the upper side. A dentist went in and realized they were connected. Once the tooth infection was treated (i.e. taken out, root canal, etc) the sinus infection went away… I’m hoping its not true for you, but if it were, at least if you had that done, you would be out of pain…

I am soooo sorry that you are feeling like crap but thank you for the laugh, because I really needed it.

If you haven’t tried it already, a saline spray can really help with a sinus infection if you spray it up in your nose, and tilt your head to the side and then back to “evacuate” the yuck. I’ve also heard neti pots work miracles, though I’ve never tried one. Sorry you’re so sick!

Sorry you are feeling so under the weather. At least you still have a sense of humor! Take care of yourself!

Your too funny to be sick. I hate that whole ruining cute undies part. That pisses me off everytime, and it’s never the ugly ones, always the new, pretty ones…damn Aunt Flo needs to pick a freakn day and stick with it every month. This maybe today, maybe not crap is for the birds, what am I a B&B??? Feeling your pain, Humincat

I wouldn’t give up hope about Patrick. He may like green snot… you don’t know. After all, he’s not a doctor but he plays one on TV.

  7. Susan Says:

I think you should write to him. I’ll bet he’s picked up some medical expertise playing doctor. Maybe he will just want to play doctor.

I think your body might be responding to stress.I always get sick when I am most overwhelmed. Sorry you are feeling crappy!

Baggage, I don’t have any advice for the teeth, eye and especially none for the hoo ha. I can however HIGHLY recommend the neti pots. My Dr. badgered me until I got one and I haven’t had any bad sinus infections since. I rinse out once a week and wa la. No more pressure, green snot, etc..

I hope everything feels better soon.

You are so sick right now, that yes, I agree the antibiotics are important, but so is getting that tooth checked out, and getting some steroids, like flovent nasal spray or a puffer, or even oral prednisone.

And on the natural side, take some fish oil caps for inflammation, and some probiotics, (like the kind in live yogurt), or the next guest in your house will be yeast…seriously.not.fun.

    Take care please!

    Get well SOON!! egads.
and that stupid VA, may they breathe in cayenne pepper when they stop to smell the flowers that they snatch out of other people’s hands.
    hugs.

Sorry you’re so sick…. have you tried Mucinex (OTC)for the sinus crap? Worked wonders for me. 2 pills 2x a day.

No ideas for the other stuff….. maybe a pot of coffee would help the ADD? (I have a friend that this works for)

    Good luck!

    Kikilia

oh- almost forgot- warm, warm washcloth on the eye will help stys go away faster

Neti pots really work on sinus infections. I use ‘em for colds too. If your tooth’s not sore all the time, I’m betting it’s just (yeah, right, just) your sinuses - when mine flare up, it’s like my whole head is ready to explode in a million bits. *hugs*
