New gaskets are available at stove dealers and hardware and home centers. Remove the stove door, if possible, and lay it on a piece of cardboard on a table. Pull the old gasket out of the gasket groove in the door. Scrape any bits of old gasket and any lumps of old adhesive out of the groove with the blade of a flat screwdriver. Scour the groove clean with coarse steel wool. Measure the length of the groove around the perimeter of the door with the tape measure. Measure the width of the groove.

Buy braided stove gasket material of the appropriate length and width. Cut a length of braided stove gasket material equal to the length of the gasket groove, plus 1 inch. Start midway along one of the long, straight parts of the groove. Be sure the gasket is firmly cemented at the corners. When you get back to the starting point, trim off any excess gasket and tuck the ends into each other so that they form a good seal.

Carefully remove your glass from its packaging and remove any labels. Place the glass down gently centrally into the desired position.
