Time with Baby Elle

IMtoMom: I need to go shower, so I can get ready to babysit Elle.
IMtoBaggage: Ok, have fun.
IMtoMom: Well, I’ll either have fun or have a nervous breakdown.
I was really nervous about babysitting Elle. The last time I saw her culminated in an all out sobbing spree.
She was so big, and smelled slightly like sour milk. She looked like Elle, but she wasn’t my little baby. I knew it was the same kid, but at the same time, it wasn’t MY Elle, and somehow that made it easier.
She smiled a lot at me, ran across the room to me, and we spent the hour going up and down the stairs, climbing into the entertainment center, turning the TV on and off, and opening and shutting doors.
And in the end, I hugged her goodbye, told her I loved her, and shut the door. And I didn’t cry.

I am so glad it went well… I have to admit I was a little anxious for you.
She is just the cutest thing. Adorable. I am glad you were able to enjoy her.
