If they made a movie…

of my life, who would play me?

V’s Herbie asked the question. Her answer?

Julianne Nicholson.

So in an effort to distract myself from sitting here banging my head into the computer monitor in absolute disgust with the foster care system, I’m going to open this up for a contest.

Name the celebrity who should play me in the movie of my life.

Leave your answer in the comments. I’ll randomly pick two winners to receive two packs of KidsLunchBoxCards. These are nifty little postcard looking things that you can send in your kiddos lunch box that are neater looking than a scribbled napkin note. They have interesting facts, riddles, gross stories, weird laws…all sorts of things kids would like to read about. And a big space on the back for you to write your own personal message.

If you know what I look like in real life, you are not eligible to play!

Chyler Leigh (Meredith’s sister on Grey’s)
    OR
    Catherine Bell (Army Wives)
    OR
    Sally Pressman (Army Wives)

I don’t have kiddos (Not yet)… so if I am even close, give it to someone else. :)

    *lurker delurking*

Honestly? I’ve always pictured you as a Claire Danes look alike for some reason. But I can also see you as Catharine Bell!
    Love your blog.

  3. dawnmei Says:

I think you look like my sister-in-law’s sister, who looks a lot like a petite Sandra Bullock.

  4. jenn Says:

    Ellen Pompeo

  5. Lain Says:

I second the vote for Julianne Nicholson. I can see her saying “Ladytown” with a straight face.

  6. Morgaine Says:

    I think Rachel McAdams :)

  7. Stacy Says:

Katherine Heigl (although I picture you more petite).

  8. Angela Says:

I don’t really know much about celebrities.. but just seeing what you’ve survived.. Angelina Jolie :) .. The two of you have a LOT in common.

  9. Maggie Says:

Rosario Dawson. Mimi… without all the drugs and HIV and stuff.

  10. Julia Says:

    Kate Bosworth

  11. Holly Says:

I immediately thought of Sally Pressman from Army Wives, but I see that someone already beat me to it. But I second the vote then. She is exactly who I think of when I think of you.

  12. Shari Says:

I think of you as being very Michelle Pfeiffer.

  13. Micky Says:

For me it would be Natalie Imbruglia

  14. Kim Says:

Jennifer Aniston. Strong, fit, beautiful, and most of all Classy.

  15. carol Says:

Most of the actresses who could do it are too freaking old - which says a lot for you, baggage. How about Scarlett Johansson? Jena Malone?

  16. Brandy Says:

That’s a hard one because I have no idea what you look like other than the descriptions you’ve given here. I am going to go with Winona Ryder. I just love her and she’s all pixie-like but powerful and that’s how I picture you (of course without the shoplifting craziness!!! he he).

  17. Doodlebelle Says:

Reese Witherspoon with brown hair, like in “Walk the Line”. Has to be her.

  18. Holly Says:

I actually know what you look like, so for me, the answer would be Ellen Page from Juno. She is only 21, but people think you are younger than that. And I think she has the right mix of tough vulnerability to play you. Of the other suggestions, I could see Jena Malone.

Oh, maybe Amber Tamblyn, from sisterhood of the traveling pants.

  19. humincat Says:

I swear to freaking Gawd that I was gonna say Ellen Page (with style) and so I’m happy to see that somebody whose seen you agrees.

  20. Kathleen Says:

Ellen Page could play you very nicely :) Or perhaps a Shelley Long circa late 1980’s, early 1990’s. Someone with perfect delivery and facial expressions that say more than words.
Love the blog….I know the movie’s theme song would be Gloria Gaynor’s “I will Survive!” :)

  21. Fostermamas Says:

    I’d pick Natalie Portman

  22. M&Co. Says:

    Julia Roberts.

  23. Meli Says:

Based solely on your cartoon pic up top and my perception of your perky personality, I always picture Vanessa Minnillo.

  24. julie Says:

I would say Sally Pressmen, Natalie Portman or Rachel McAdams- :)

  25. Sarah Says:

My image of you on my head is always Reese Witherspoon–her determination and that petite size does not stop her from kicking butt.

What a great question. Can the movie of your life be a musical, because I am rooting for a happy ending.

  26. Lisa F. Says:

I have always thought (in my head) you looked like one of the Olson sisters. Ashley and Mary-Kate. However, I don’t see them as actresses being able to pull off what your character is made of. So, I’d maybe also go Ellen Page. Although I can see Natalie Imbruglia that someone mentioned above as well.

  27. Libby Says:

I was thinking Jena Malone, too. Or Kristen Stewart, or even Evan Rachel Wood.

  28. Gina Says:

GREEEAAAAT there goes me being able to play *pout*

  29. Beverly Says:

I think it should be Anna Friel from Pushing Daisies.

  30. FosterMommy Says:

I’m going with Rose McGowan. She’s kick-ass and pretty darn cute.

  31. Southern Fried Mom Says:

I’ve been reading for a while & decided to de-lurk to play along. I swear I’ve always seen you as Sandra Bullock in my head…I can’t believe someone else said it, too. (In my mind, it’s Sandra with really curly hair…like the girl from Providence or Keri Russell).

  32. Kikilia Says:

    Sarah Michelle Gellar

  33. Cinthia Says:

    Eva Mendes.

  34. Jass Says:

My first thought was Julia Roberts. Or Reese Witherspoon as a brunette.
