And it gets worse.
In order to get the house, I am going to have to come up with $7300 or the sellers are going to have to come down that much or some combination.
It may as well be a million. I am so upset.

Shit on a stick. How many readers do you have? I will give you 73 bucks, will a hundred other readers match me?

This EXACT thing happened to us this spring. The mortgage people said we could have the loan, but the underwriters are getting super picky now. We had to switch to an FHA loan which had a lower downpayment requirement (but requires about 1 billion times more paperwork). Ergh. Hope you can find a way to work it out.

Sweetheart, I will give you $10. But, make sure you aren’t buying a house for more than it’s worth. This happened to us 18 years ago, that the appraiser said the house was worth $5K less than we offered. The owner wouldn’t come down. We walked away and found the PERFECT house later. I know this is very assvicey. I just have lived very close to this.
Talk to the sellers. I hope they come down.
Fingers crossed.
