You don’t want to mess with me.
The Parent Bloggers Network is asking bloggers to write about what they can do just as well as men in honor of the site Ask Patty. Ask Patty is a car site for women, and they have a new feature, MyCarPage. By registering your vehicle on MyCarPage at Ask Patty, you can have your own personalized web page for your car, truck, or SUV. MyCarPage provides automatic service reminder and recall emails, vehicle resale values, service histories, access to local gas prices, DMV information, online service appointments, sales and service specials, traffic reports, car clubs, maps, directions and more.
I am totally going to do this, because I always forget to get my oil changed and do that kind of stuff and then Geo gets irritated because my car breaks down.
Ok, so what can I do as good or better than a man?
Well, I can shoot a target and hit it, from five football fields away.
Is that impressive? I don’t know. But actually when I did it, it shocked the hell out of me, because I am kind of girly and had never shot a rifle before. I actually don’t like shooting a rifle, though. It is loud, and it hurts my shoulder and I am afraid I might accidentally shoot someone. But hey, if you are ever being attacked and I’m five football fields away, I’m your gal.

I think girls are better at shooting than boys– not genetically, but socially. It’s, “Be careful, you might break something, you might be in the way, take your time, if you make a mistake you’ll be in trouble, don’t waste,” vs “Look how many rounds he fired, how much fun, bam bam bam!” I have seen boys empty clips in seconds, while girls aim each one because they know, deep down, that if they fail, they will never be given another chance.
I like handguns because I can look through the sights and not bend my neck. I have a long neck. Shotguns, though, oh no. Too big, too loud, too much kick, and too damned close to my head. Black powder rifles are great because they’re just… better. And black powder guys are lots of fun.

“But hey, if you are ever being attacked and I’m five football fields away, I’m your gal.” might just be the funniest line you’ve ever written. Love it.
