Here dentists are supposed to cover all children under 12 or somesuch with medicare, which covers all the public citizens, and they are on strike right now for taking it, to apply pressure for new contract conditions. Because we were already patients, anyone we "add" to our family is given exams, even when it's straight MA paying. In fact, I take all five kids to the dentist in a week. Our state is the same way. It covers but no one will take it. When our daughter came home at age 11, we were the first people who took her to the dentist. Because of her rotten teeth, we have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on dental care. Poor kid doesn't deserve that. Isn't it ironic that the kids that the state are supposed to be protecting get the crappiest care? Medicaid sucks for dental. Our state is the same way. It covers but no one will take it.
