Five things that I’m not happy about.
1. The phrase: “Well, I can have sex if I want to. It’s not like I can get pregnant since I take that shot.”
2. The question: “Mom, what does it mean when a girl does a blower?”
3. The Cubs lost. And the Brewers won. Our magic number is still four.
4. My body is rebelling against me. Remember when I had surgery because my uterine lining was too thick and it was causing all sorts of abnormal bleeding? Well, the abnormal bleeding is back. Also, every muscle and joint in my body hurts. And I’m having major insomnia and restless sleep which is making me feel insane.
5. I got carded for buying glue. Again.

Wow, I hope to never hear numbers 1 & 2 at my house. But in case it happens what was your response?

regarding #4, can you do alternative medicine? maybe not for the bleeding, but the aching and sleep problems might be helped. and this sounds weird, but sometimes I use bengay right before I go to bed and it helps me relax, easing muscles and sleeping better.

I’m so sorry the problems are back.
Re you review, this is a little before you time but I remember when it was a sensation.

Ok, so I’m officially dreading the teenager phase at my house.. uggh.
Best of luck to you dealing with these girls. About #4, I’m so sorry! I hope you get to take care of yourself soon.

(((hug)))
I hope Geo or another family member/friend can help you at least with the little ones while you are feeling this way [#4]. Not that you’d rest even with them being taken care of. But you need some “me” time, if that’s possible.
and I’m right there with you at #5…

I *still* can’t believe that in this day and age teenagers still aren’t more aware of STDs and think that pregnancy is the *only* worry when it comes to sex. UGH!!!!
(This isn’t directed at or a criticism of Baggage, it’s a more general statement about this in general, almost all studies are showing that despite education programs, kids still think pregnancy is the only worry when it comes to sex.)
Maybe you should print out pictures of STDs and post them all over the house… gross out the teens and force them to understand. In fact, maybe all health educators should do that.

Those are definitely five sucky things!

When I was in high school we had an assembly “Real Life 101″ or something like that. The guy showed GRAPHIC pictures of STDs. In fact the first penis (picture) I ever saw was in that assembly - and it was disgusting. Nothing like putting 400 kids in an auditorium and showing them gross genital pictures for an hour, telling them to make sure to wash their hands and then not providing soap in the bathrooms. Where was I…Oh - that’s right - that assembly was quite possibly the best deterant for sex I have ever seen. Also kind of odd that they actually allowed it at school in my super conservative home town. I think peach was kidding when she said something about the pictures of STDs - but it did work for me.

Glue? For reals? Unbelievable.
Oh Baggage, what a day/week for you. I feel for you, my virtual friend, and I wish that there was something I could do. I’m a nurse, so I could put together something about STD’s for your sexually active one, if you’d like. It’s a pet issue of mine, and I’d be happy to help if I can.
Good luck, Baggage, good luck.

One of my best friends has two children courtesy of that shot.

(Because of course, as an infertile woman, I am guaranteed to have friends who have gotten pregnant on every form of birth control known to man or woman kind. I once read the failure rate for contraceptive foam and thought “Jeez, more women get pregnant using this stuff than IVF!”)

Oh my. Well, I got warts at the age of 17, thinking I was protected from “the pregnancy” with The Pill. (how ironic to find out at 39 I was doomed to infertility). Not fun. Back then most things were curable. Perhaps a trip to an AIDS hospice is in order?? Me too I have friends who got pregnant during their period, with an IUD etc. sheesh.
I am so so sorry to hear that you are feeling horrid physically again. I have no brilliant suggestions, just an aching sadness that you have to deal with this betrayal of your body when you deserve so much better. I hope you find something to help and feel better soon. And boy oh boy, I wouldn’t appreciate the sex either if I felt like that, not in me or anyone else.

When my anemia was very bad, (I didn’t know at the time) I had problems sleeping and restless legs. Didn’t realize it was one of the symptoms. Has your iron been checked?

My Cards helped your Cubbies last night!
Hope you are feeling better soon.
I didn’t know one could get carded for glue!!!!!
September 27th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
Well, my glue is a non-alcoholic version, maybe you could try that, when you are ready to quit that is. HAHAHA
And I’m sorry about all the teenage sex crap. If only we could just tie them down for a few years, until they get it…..why was the chasity belt ever outlawed???? LOL
