Holidailies #21..Oops
I almost forgot to post my Holidailies today. I guess it would have counted because I did post earlier, but I’ve been trying to do a dedicated Holidailies post.
Except I have no motivation to write. I hate dialup. HATE IT. It is so slow. I can’t get anything to work. My own blog takes 45 minutes to come up. It takes six years for a lonelygirl video to load.
I want to kill dial up.
In other news, I’m ovulating out of the Galinda side, which means that this month would have been worthless in terms of baby making anyway. So guess that means the BDH was good choice.
Except for the dialup.
HATE DIALUP.

Curiousity strikes me, how do you know that you are ovulating out of the Galinda side? Mittelschmertz? U/S?
And sorry about the dial up. I sympathize, I’m trying to work myself up to not hyperobsessively checking the computer over the holidays. Must.not.surf. Aghhh, maybe I should switch to dialup to curb the addiction.

I feel for you with the dial up crap. We live in the country so all we can get is dial-up or dish internet. So… for four years I have been dialing up. Consequently most of my surfing is done at work (aren’t I awful) because it is just too slow at home!!

Have you considered cellular Internet? It’s slower than cable/DSL and faster than dialup … and you can use it anywhere, if you have a laptop. Just a thought! I have it for trips and I really like it. It’s a little slow, but not dialup slow, and the freedom is really nice. It’s about $70 a month, so that’s thirty bucks cheaper at least!

I’m also in the country (tiny rural little village of about 1,000 people) and dial-up with a top connection speed of 26.4 kb/s. Completely NOT ACCEPTABLE! LOL
We gave in and got the Hughes dish service (formerly Direcway) and while it’s not as fast as my cable modem was (we were just on vacation and the hotel had wireless cable modem and, oh my, did my browser just scream. I loved it!) The dish service isn’t bad at all in terms of weather effecting service too often. It does happen, that’s for sure, but it’s usually only during a REALLY bad snowstorm or a really bad wind storm. If your only options are dial up or sattelite, and you can afford sattelite, I recommend it.

You are a HARD girl to find!
One thing that usually helps me with blog entries is typing them out on either Word or Wordpad, so I can polish them if I choose. Then, once I’m able to get to my blog, I just cut and paste, then polish some more…just a thought.
Good luck!
